Franciscan University students excited to graduate

Updated: Friday, May 9 2014, 11:18 PM EDT

STEUBENVILLE, Ohio -

Franciscan University of Steubenville held its Baccalaureate Mass on Friday evening.

On Saturday, nearly 650 students will graduate during Franciscan’s 66th graduation ceremony.

Students pulled out their caps and gowns to get ready for Saturday’s ceremony.

“It’s like really exciting. I’m the first one to graduate from my whole family, it’s a really big deal,” Franciscan student Daisy Reyes said.

The job searching begins for many, but for some, grad school is in the near future.

“I’m going back to Cincinnati and hopefully I get a job. I want to go into personal finance and I’ve got some interviews lined up and we’ll see where it takes us,” student Jacob Smith said.

“I’m going to grad school, and I know God will provide, he’ll give me a job,” student Celia Wright said.

The graduation ceremony will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
