JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio -  The trial for a man who allegedly fired a shot over a woman's head during a domestic dispute began in a Jefferson County courtroom in front of Judge David Henderson on Thursday.
Donald Mims pled not guilty to several weapons charges and a menacing by stalking charge. Those charges, plus some more serious counts that were dropped, all stemmed from a dispute inside a Yorkville home in March.
The victim in this case testified Thursday, with both the prosecution and defense extensively questioning her about the events of that night because she didn't call the police.
She said she didn't want him to get into trouble.
