Nicosia bond set at $200,000

Updated: Monday, August 18 2014, 05:24 PM EDT

HARRISON COUNTY, Ohio -- A bond hearing was held Monday in Harrison County for Bryan Nicosia, Kara Clark, and Autumn Stabile, the three suspects involved in a violent home invasion and burglary in Jewett on July 22.
All three were charged after allegedly choking, beating, and robbing resident Joe Gale inside his home.
Nicosia has been charged with two felonies in the first degree -- one of kidnapping and the other of aggravated burglary.
Nicosia's bond is set at $200,000, with no 10 percent feature, meaning he would have to post that much in cash or a bond in that amount. Stabile and Clark's bonds were both set at $100,000 each with the same terms as Nicosia.
Both women were charged with complicity to aggravated burglary, and one charge of complicity to kidnapping.
"Effectively, the rational or reason for requesting an additional $100,000 on Mr. Nicosia is the fact that he left the jurisdiction, left the state of Ohio, and was apprehended in Detroit," Harrison County Prosecutor Michael Washington said.
Investigators also noted that Nicosia has an extensive criminal background, which also played a factor in his increased bond.
