HANCOCK COUNTY, WV

A Weirton-based organization, Christians Helping Arranging New Growth Enterprises, is helping low-income families with their homes this winter.

The group specializes in any weatherization but has received more calls during the winter months.

C.H.A.N.G.E. provides free inspections and maintenance to people in Brooke, Ohio, Hancock and Marshall counties. Furnaces, insulation and sealing are the most common maintenance for the homes.

Due to budget cuts, the organization can usually only help fix up to four homes total per month.

Currently there are over 100 people on the waiting list.
