MARTINS FERRY, Ohio – Police say Darion Frazier, who allegedly stabbed and cut his ex-girlfriend approximately 17 times in Martins Ferry early Thursday morning, has been caught.
According to Ohio County Sheriff Pat Butler, Frazier was picked up at the Ohio County Public Library using the computers there around 12:30 p.m.
Martins Ferry Police Chief John McFarland said Frazier entered his ex-girlfriend's apartment at Jaycee Manor through a window. An argument ensued, and police were called to the complex for a domestic disturbance.
When officers arrived, Frazier allegedly took off, and police chased him on foot without success.
The victim was found inside, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Officials say she is expected to survive.
Police recovered two small knives inside the apartment. Investigators are still unsure which was used in the stabbing.
