Company responds to “illegal dumping” concerns

Updated: Friday, June 20 2014, 12:14 AM EDT

Ohio/Marshall County, W.Va.---

Matthews Wall Anchor Service, based in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, responded to concerns about a truck that was parked near a local creek in Dallas.
A spokesperson with the company released the following statement: “Earlier this week, one of our trucks – which was full of non-potable (or creek) water – experienced engine issues that required towing. Our company’s focus was moving the truck as quickly and safely as possible from the road to not impede traffic. Given that the truck was full of non-potable creek water, it was too heavy to be towed, and therefore the water was released. We apologize for any temporary inconvenience this caused the community.”
Matthews Wall Anchor Service provides exclusively freshwater-related contracted services, mostly focused on dust control, to the shale industry.
