OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. --

Department of Environmental Protection crews have been called to an Ohio County home while crews pump out liquid that’s possibly from a pipeline project.

The Ohio County Emergency Management Agency said a woman called 911 because there was a liquid substance in her basement at 9385 National Road in Valley Grove.

Officials said Markwest Energy is drilling under the road and on her property. The activity is believed to be part of a pipeline project, and officials said some type of clay mix was used to clean out pipes. That mixture is what is believed to have seeped into the woman’s basement.
