Updated: Sunday, October 27 2013, 08:00 PM EDT

WHEELING, W.Va.

Tomorrow is breast cancer awareness day and people in the Valley are already preparing for fundraisers to help patients.

Kathy Blass, the president of the Ohio Valley Breast Cancer Awareness, is teaming up with Generations Pub and Restaurant in Wheeling to raise money for breast cancer by donating 25% of their food sales from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. tomorrow.

"I spoke briefly with Kathy about it and thought why don't we just do a day at the end of the month to come down and we'll give you 25 percent of the proceeds for your cost because she does a great job for and around the Valley. I thought it was the right thing to do," said Mike Duplaga, owner of Generations.

Duplaga said he first thought about doing this a few weeks ago.

Blass, the president of Ohio Valley Breast Cancer Awareness, said this means much more to her because breast cancer affected her personally.

"Raising money for breast cancer awareness patients in our area means a lot to me. I am a survivor and I find that there are a lot of special needs that we endure throughout our treatments that is important for our current breast cancer patients that can have product that can help them through their treatment and preserve their dignity," said

She said this is the first time Generations will do something like this and is hoping to get big crowds throughout the day.

"I'm hoping that we have a lot of lunch time people that want to come, dinner will be a great time to come out, before the Monday night football game for people to come and enjoy family time together," said Blass.

Duplaga approached Blass about having this all-day affair at his restaurant because breast cancer has impacted his life.

"Cancer has touched my family, both sides of my family, numerous times I just thought it was a worthy cause," said Duplaga.
