JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio – An Ohio Valley music group is continuing to pick up steam with a newly released video.
A Wheeling trio, the Joseph Sisters, debuted their new music video last week and have a new album on the way.
The sisters – Marybeth, Jamie, and Shalyn – reached one milestone last summer by performing at Jamboree in the Hills. Now they’ve reached another goal with the release of their first music video for their new single, “West Virginia Town.”
The girls said they had a lot of fun filming it at Innovations Studios in Steubenville with their band playing right behind them.
“It’s about our town, Wheeling, West Virginia,” Shalyn Joseph said. “It’s about us going out and having a good time.”
The song is a single off their second album coming out this summer and is available at iTunes.
“We have a new CD that we just finished in Nashville in the fall and we are really excited to release it,” Jamie Joseph said. “This is the first single off it. We’re really excited to share it with everybody and we hope everybody likes it.”
The girls have been playing countless shows in the tri-state area, including recent stops at State AE in Pittsburgh. They are excited for their fans to get to hear their new album, which they say is a huge step forward from their first effort.
“Our first album was the first time that we ever recorded together,” Marybeth Joseph said. “We recorded in Weirton at Studio L, and then the second album we recorded down in Nashville. It just shows how much we’ve grown over the years with some of the music choices and the things like that so we’re really excited about our second album.”
The Joseph Sisters are performing their new song in front of the W.Va. State Legislature in Charleston on Monday.
