WHEELING, W.Va.--

Bordas & Bordas took several children shopping and to lunch Tuesday.

The kids were from Bridge Street Middle School and the act of generosity is part of the Roy Chambers Foundation.

Chambers was a former client of Bordas & Bordas, he passed away and never had children, but wanted to help.

Linda Bordas, an attorney with Bordas & Bordas, said they took 18 children shopping Tuesday, but help others as well.

Bordas said the firm has been doing this for about 20 years and the children get really excited about the day.

“It’s so nice for the kids,” said Bordas. “They get gifts for their brothers and sisters, cousins, even their dog.”

“Sometimes we have to make them get out of line, go back, and get a gift for themselves,” she added.

Heather Lewis, a school counselor at Bridge Street Middle School, said the school really appreciates the Bordas family choosing Bridge Street.

“They have chosen our school for over 20 years and provide us with this opportunity for our kids to reward them,” said Lewis.

Each student was provided with $150 to shop and then lunch at Wendy’s.
