Man who admits smoking PCP arrested for attempted murder in Wheeling

OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. – Wheeling police officers responded to a 911 call at 9:26 a.m. Tuesday at 3 Locust Avenue in Wheeling in regards to a disorderly male with a pair of knives who later admitted to have been smoking PCP and arguing with a female at that residence. Officers arrived on scene to find Juan Harris of Cleveland brandishing two knives and having a female pinned behind a porch swing.
According to the release, Harris immediately threw the knives into the side yard and officers ordered the male off the porch and had to forcibly take him into custody as he refused to comply with the officers’ orders. The female was found to be uninjured.
Harris was arrested on a charge of attempted murder. He had to be transported to an area hospital after he admitted to smoking PCP. Harris was remained in the hospital while being treated before he could be arraigned and transported to the regional jail.
