Sources say the man police arrested Thursday at the Ohio County Public Library may have a connection to a triple-murder investigation out of Virginia.
A sketch and then mug shot of Charles Severance was released by police of a suspect wanted for killing a music teacher in February.
Ballistics tests show that the bullet that killed that teacher was likely the same gun that killed a man in November.
There are some similarities in another murder that happened in 2004.
Severance has not been charged in connection with the three murders out of Alexandria, Va.
However, he has been charged with felony possession of a firearm.
He is in the Northern Regional Jail on $100,000 bond. Magistrate Joe Roxby arraigned Severance on Friday, and Severance will appear in court for an extradition hearing Monday morning.
Local police would not confirm that he is a suspect in the three murders but Cumberland, Md. police say they did ask the FBI for help for questioning in those murders. Sources say Severance was wanted in connection and was questioned Thursday night.
