STEUBENVILLE, Ohio -- From flooding, to elevator problems, the Towers Building in downtown Steubenville has seen its fair share of problems this year.
In January, the Towers Building experienced some devastating flood damage, the majority of it caused by sprinkler system and winter's roller coaster weather.
It all came under the watch of the Jefferson County Commissioners.
Fast-forward to June and commissioners are happy to show the problems have been fixed and the building is better than it's been in quite some time with new flooring and walls in the offices where the water damage destroyed things, plus a reliable, functional elevator.
Commissioners say the fixes set back their long term goals. But they are confident the $750,000 investment was a good one.
Officials say they will be taking bids for the next project -- replacing the roof.
Once it's all said and done, the total overhaul of the Towers Building will cost a little more than $1 million.
