CONNORVILLE, Ohio – The flooding was so bad in Connorville on Wednesday morning, some residents were trapped inside their homes.
At one point, the only thing visible on the Connorville Bypass was street signs and mailboxes.
Resident Jan Dicenzo said the flooding is nothing she hasn't seen. In fact, she's been dealing with flooding on her street for 55 years.
“But it does go down in a hurry,” she said. “For some reason today it's being stubborn and it's not going down in a hurry.
Matt Farmer, who now lives in Dillonvale, used to live in this particular area.
“Yeah and that’s why we moved away,” he said. “We didn’t want to deal with this anymore, but now it's just as bad in Dillonvale."
Farmer spent much of Wednesday morning helping residents pump their basements.
"Dredging the creek out might help, but I've never seen it hanging around this long so it’ll be awhile before it goes down," Farmer predicted.
