ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio – Ohio Attorney General Mike Dewine visited the Tri-County Help Center on Monday in St. Clairsville to announce a $31,000 grant.
The center provides services to victims of sexual assault throughout Belmont, Harrison, and Monroe counties.
Dewine spoke on the importance of the center and other victim's services throughout the state, but also stressed the significance of preventing sexual assaults from occurring.
"Part of the message today is, ‘let's be proactive,’ ” Dewine said. “Tri-County has speakers who will come if anyone wants to hear from them. They will come out and talk about the need for everyone in the community to work to prevent sexual assault."
Dewine also talked about the center expanding its services not only to cover the three counties, but to provide them more comprehensively.
