Family searches for missing brother

Updated: Monday, September 1 2014, 03:32 AM EDT

JEFFERSON COUNTY, OH

The public's help is wanted in the search for a missing 55-year-old man who has not been seen since August 29th; that’s when family members say Bill Harrison left his home to go to the gas station.

Since then, no word from Harrison and family members say this is not like him.

Harrison was last seen at the John F. Kennedy apartments in Steubenville.

Family members said they believe bill left his apartment around 1 a.m. Friday morning to walk to the Speedway.

His siblings said surveillance at the store shows he never made it there.

Bill’s brother Greg Harrison says he is bald, around 150 pounds, about 5'10, and had brain surgery last year.

Greg said he hopes someone saw him that night or knows something, and that Bill is a pretty well-known guy throughout town.

His family filed a missing person report with the Steubenville Police Department and they are doing what they can to help find any leads.

They’re reviewing surveillance from places he may have passed while walking towards speedway.

Greg and his siblings have checked hospitals and have been searching the area, but so far, no luck.

But they aren't giving up, they are going to continue searching for him.

If you believe you have seen Bill Harrison or have any information regarding his whereabouts you are urged to call the Steubenville Police Department.
