JEFFERSON COUNTY, OH

The Jefferson County Regional Planning Commission is off to a busy start in only its second meeting of the year.

Wednesday, the group gathered in Steubenville to talk about upcoming grant opportunities and ways to continue to develop the economy and quality of life for residents in Jefferson County.

Town, village, and city representatives met to discuss a variety of grants that the commission has applied for. The grants cover a wide range of opportunities including one which is the Clean Ohio Fund.

The next meeting will be held March 26 where members will prepare for a public hearing that is scheduled for March 27 regarding community development block grants for specific communities.
