JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio – Despite the weather, the opening ceremonies for the Jefferson County fair are underway.
Organizers said they won’t let rain get in the way of this year’s fun, but they had to cancel the antique and farm stock tractor pull on Monday night.
“We got a lot of rain,” Fair President Ray Hilderbarden noticed.
Despite that, crews were working hard to make everything ready when the gates open at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning.
"Well we're looking forward to some nice weather, if you can provide that,” Hilderbarden said. “We've got our Ohio Fair's Queen from last year, and she'll be here all week."
From food, to rides, to animal shows, to contests, the list of fun for this year’s fair is endless.
"It's a lot of work, but it's a lot of fun too at the same time,” Hilderbarden said.
