Steubenville, OH --

A Steubenville murder investigation is picking up steam. On Monday night residents watched as investigators descended on a home twice and in the end they took 3 individuals into custody.

While one of those arrests isn't connected to Saturday night's murder along the 700 block of Rosswell Avenue, two of them are.

Officials made the arrests around 4:30 p.m. outside a home in the 1300 block of Oregon Avenue.

Investigators wouldn't release the names of the two black males, who are believed to be in their twenties.

Officials say the two are persons of interest in the investigation, one that centers on the shooting death of Andrew Lee Estes, 22, of Steubenville.

A woman was also taken to an awaiting cruiser. Officials say she was taken into custody on a warrant, something unrelated to the crime.

Later around 8 p.m. officials could be seen along US Route 22 near the John Scott Highway exit on the westbound side looking for a firearm that they believe was used in the crime.

As of Monday night that weapon had not been located.
