OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. -- West Liberty University and the Wheeling-Ohio County Homeland Security hosted an active shooter response training course at West Liberty's main campus.
The two-day instructor training course is designed to teach proactive survival skills in violent intruder or active shooter situation to law enforcement as well as schools, churches, hospitals and workplace administrators and employees.
Officials say the Alice program is designed to teach skills to help bridge the gap from when a violent event begins and law enforcement arrives.
