Body found in Sandy Township

SANDYVILLE -- The Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a man whose body was found off Sandyville Road in Sandy Township on Wednesday morning.
Deputies received the report at 10:41 a.m.
According to Chief Deputy Orvis Campbell, the cause and manner of death is not clear at this time, but foul play is being considered.
The man is described as a heavyset white male with short hair and a tattoo. His hair is cut very short and is predominately brown. The man also has a short groomed goatee.
Preliminary attempts to identify the man by using fingerprints were unsuccessful.
The body was transported to the Stark County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy by order of Tuscarawas County Coroner Dr. James Hubert.
