Updated: Tuesday, June 17 2014, 12:20 AM EDT

Heads up work by the New Martinsville Police Department's newest member, Jason Utt, leads to a startling discovery.
Investigators said Utt made a traffic stop after he noticed the driver wasn't wearing a seat belt.
From there he found 60 stamps of heroin, $500 and 16 needles.
This happened near the intersection of Rose Street and Route 2.
Officials said 30-year-old Shawn Haslam was arrested and has been charged with intent to deliver.
Haslam is spending the night at the Northern Regional Jail.
