BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio —

One person was arrested and four people were taken to a hospital after a two-car crash on Interstate 70 in Belmont County early Monday.

Dispatchers said the crash happened near the Bridgeport exit just after 3 a.m. and the people in one car fled from the scene.

Officials said 23-year old Audrey Cochran, of Wheeling, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, having no driver's license, having fictitious license plates and failing to maintain an assured clear distance.

Investigators said Cochran's car allegedly struck a car in front of her when it slowed down. Dispatchers said four people were transported to a hospital for their injuries.

As of noon Monday, Cochran was being held at the Belmont County Jail.
