COLUMBIANA COUNTY, Ohio —

Two people were arrested in Columbiana County after incidents involving a police chase.

Police said the first incident happened just after 2 a.m. Wednesday when they saw a car cross the center line on Parkway Avenue near East Liverpool. Police said they tried to stop the car, but the driver sped off.

The driver eventually stopped and both the driver and passenger left the car and took off running.

Police caught the passenger, James Washington, and charged him with obstruction. As of 11:45 a.m. Thursday, the driver remained at large.

While police searched for the driver, another car sped past them. The driver of that car jumped out and ran into a home on Maple Tree Street. Police arrested that driver, Daneil Prentice, for not having a license.
