WHEELING, W.Va. —

Two Belmont County men are behind bars Saturday after getting into a fight at a Wheeling business and punching an officer.

Wheeling police said they responded to Generations Pub on National Road shortly about 12:40 a.m. and took two men outside. Officers said Richard Hathaway, of Martins Ferry and Kenneth Macalister, of Bridgeport, started shouting threats and obscenities at officers.

While they arrested Macalister, police said Hathaway came out of a crowd and struck an officer with his fist. They used a Taser to arrest him, reports said.

Both are in the Northern Regional Jail on disorderly conduct and obstructing charges, and more are pending. Hathaway is also charged with battery on an officer.
