2 arrests made in early-morning drug raid

MARTINS FERRY, Ohio---
Martins Ferry Police Chief John McFarland said an ongoing investigation by the Belmont County Drug Task force has resulted in two arrests.
Officials said the drug task force raided a home located on Colerain Pike in Martins Ferry at around 4:30 a.m.
Benjamin Cutlip, the target of this investigation, was arrested, along with Heather Swegard.
Cutlip is facing drug trafficking and possession charges. Additional charges are pending.
Swegard is also facing possession charges.
Chief McFarland said upon entering the home officials found a substantial amount of prescription drugs, marijuana, scales, drug abuse instruments and about 900 dollars in cash.
The Belmont County Sheriff's Department, Martins Ferry, Bellaire, Shadyside and Bridgeport police all assisted.
The investigation was ongoing for several months.
