OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. —
Crews responded to two separate crashes in the area of the Wheeling Tunnel on Friday morning.
Both crashes happened around 9 a.m. Police said one crash happened near the tunnel and the other crash was right outside of the tunnel.
Interstate 70 westbound was closed for a short period of time while crews cleared the scene. A NEWS9 crew reported seeing a tow truck hauling three cars after the two crashes.
As of Friday afternoon, it was not known what caused the crashes or if anyone was injured.
