2 East Liverpool residents face drug charges after traffic stop

CHESTER, W.Va. --

 

Police accused two people of drug charges after a traffic stop along Route 30 in Hancock County.

 

Chester Police Chief Ken Thorn said an officer stopped the driver, Mariah Betteridge, 19, of East Liverpool, for allegedly speeding and found almost 4 grams of marijuana in the car.

 

Betteridge was charged with possession of a controlled substance and conspiracy.

 

The passenger in the car, Randolph Slager, 23, of East Liverpool, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of counterfeit currency.
