2 Hospitalized After Several Back-to-Back Crashes

Ohio State Highway Patrol was busy responding to several crashes Friday night.

A Shadyside man is facing a slew of citations after crashing his ATV along Wegee Creek.

Michael Moore, 40, broke his ankle in the crash and troopers said he was intoxicated.

Moore was transported to Ohio Valley Medical Center. He was cited with OVI, unsafe vehicle, and driving under suspension.

In Monroe County, a retired firefighter and paramedic from Summitt County was rushed to the hospital after crashing his motorcycle.

It happened in Bethel Township on State Route 260. Ohio State Highway Patrol said the victim did have his helmet on and possibly broke his collar bone.

He was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital and he was not cited.

Troopers also rushed to the scene of a crash involving a UPS delivery truck. The crash happened at the intersection of State Route 331 and County Road 10 in Bannock.

Troopers said a vehicle rear-ended the UPS truck. No injuries were reported.
