JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio --
Elections officials said two races in Jefferson County will be recounted: Wayne Township trustee and the Buckeye Local Board of Education.
The county's Board of Elections made the announcement Wednesday that an automatic recount is required by law after official results were certified.
According to a news release from the Jefferson County Board of Elections, the recount will take place on Dec. 8 at the Board of Elections office on North Third Street in Steubenville.
The recount for Wayne Township trustee will begin at 10 a.m. The recount for Buckeye Local Board of Education will be held in all three counties within the district. Belmont County will begin at 9 a.m. and Jefferson and Harrison counties will begin at 11 a.m.
