By NEWS9

TUSCARAWAS COUNTY, Ohio —

Two motorcyclists were involved in back-to-back crashes over the weekend in Tuscarawas County.

The crashes happened Saturday afternoon along Ft. Lauren’s Road in Lawrence Township.

According to NEWS9’s news partners at the Times-Reporter, Anthony Mari and Dakota Fox were riding separate motorcycles when Mari rode off the right side of the road, hit a ditch and was thrown from the bike.

Fox, who was following Mari, also lost control and slid off the side of the road and was also thrown from a motorcycle. He was treated at a hospital in Dover.

Mari told troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol that a small animal ran out in front of his motorcycle, causing him to crash.

Both were cited for failure to control.
