Wheeling, WV —
Two people had to be taken to Wheeling Hospital for smoke inhalation after a fire ripped through their home at 289 Warden Run Road Thursday evening.
The fire started around 4 p.m. on the first floor of the home.
Officials say a mother and her daughter were home when it started but didn't discover the house was on fire for an extended period of time.
Officials say the home is a total loss, but the mother and daughter are OK.
Investigators will be back out Friday morning to determine the cause of the fire.
