WEIRTON, W.Va. —
Emergency crews responded to two crashes in Weirton within about an hour of each other Tuesday afternoon.
The first crash happened in the eastbound lanes of Route 22 just after the Downtown Weirton exit.
Weirton Area Ambulance and Rescue Squad transported a 32-year-old man to Weirton Medical Center with a head injury.
The crash reduced traffic to one lane in each direction on Route 22.
The second crash involved two cars and happened at the bottom of Cove Hill Road. Minor injuries were reported and one person was transported to Weirton Medical Center.
