3 suspects appear in court on charges of assaulting, robbing person in Weirton

By NEWS9

WEIRTON, W.Va. —

Three robbery and assault suspects in Weirton appeared in court Friday for their preliminary hearings.

Harry Dennis Jr. took a plea agreement and pleaded guilty to battery.

Terrick Grimm waived his right to a preliminary hearing, and his case will go to circuit court. Grimm faces two counts of robbery and malicious assault.

The case against Laquann Jones was continued.

The cases stem from a November incident in which police said four men assaulted a person and stole $40 and a pack of cigarettes.
