GUERNSEY COUNTY, Ohio —

Five people were recovering in a Guernsey County hospital Saturday after a woman crashed into another car while under the influence of alcohol, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said Patricia Wilson, 70, was headed southbound on Interstate 77 at milepost 53 near Kimbolton when she struck another car about 11:25 a.m.

Wilson's car hit a guard rail and flipped into an embankment, troopers said. She caused the other car to overturn in the highway, according to authorities.

Troopers shut down the interstate for a few hours while they investigated the scene, authorities said. Five people were taken to a Cambridge hospital with no life-threatening injuries.

Wilson faces charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and failure to control, trooper said.
