6 Drug Trafficking Suspects Arrested In Bellaire

BELLAIRE, Ohio —

Five adults and one juvenile were arrested on drug charges in Bellaire on Thursday.

The adults who were arrested on drug trafficking warrants were David Armstrong, David Choice, Joseph McCormick, Thomas Breeden and Charles Juctice. They were taken to the Belmont County Jail.

The juvenile was transported to the Sargus Detention Center.

According to a news release, the arrests are a result of an investigation over the past several months. An additional arrest on a charge of drug possession was made while police were serving the warrants and police said they also confiscated prescription drugs, marijuana, knives and drug paraphernalia.

The arrests were made in different areas of the city including Harrison Street, Francis Wallace Apartment Complex on 41st Street and in the West Bellaire area.

Officers from Bellaire, Shadyside, Martins Ferry, Bethesda, and the Belmont County Sheriff's Office started before 8 a.m. serving warrants on charges of drug trafficking in the Bellaire area. Police said all arrests were made without incident.

Police said they are searching for two more suspects. Anyone with information on suspected drug activity is asked to call the Belmont County Drug Task Force hot line at 740-359-TASK.
