After receiving a tip from a neighbor, police said as far as they could tell, the girl had been alone in the apartment all night and the mother was not in the home.
Dispatchers said the police department has prepared child endangerment charges against the mother and the 6-year-old girl is in the custody of children’s services.
Police said they have located the accused mother but said the woman is not in custody at this time.
