Jefferson County, OH —

Jefferson County, OH -- Multiple departments and counties worked together to bust a meth lab in Amsterdam, Ohio, officials said.

The Carroll County Sheriff's Office arrested Di Emma White, Dustin Cutlip and Jeffrey Loterbaugh on Tuesday and accused them of selling meth in the Malvern area.

"It was not a struggle. We arrested our three on State Route 183 about a mile west of Minerva," said Carroll County Sheriff Dale Williams. "There were no altercations. They were arrested and taken to the Carroll County jail."

Officials said information gathered through the three arrests led them to a house at 130 Front Street Tuesday night. Investigators said they discovered a meth lab and arrested Randy Carpenter, 50, and James Loterbaugh, 29. Both were taken to the Jefferson County Jail on charges of trafficking meth in Carroll County. Charges were still pending in Jefferson County.

"It could be explosive. The whole house could blow up. It's dangerous stuff when you are monkeying around with meth," said Jefferson County Sheriff Fred Abdalla.

Williams said the investigation was helped along by a number of agencies and departments, including three county drug task forces, three sheriff's departments and two local police departments. It's all a part of a renewed effort throughout the valley to get drugs off the street.

"We're joining forces to do that and we're going to do our best to eradicate some of the stuff," said Abdalla. "If we can curb it a little bit, we are going to do whatever they can do to get it off the streets."
