Accused Fugitive Arrested Wearing Wig

BELLAIRE, Ohio —

Police arrested a fugitive from justice, who had been on the run for a week, around 7 p.m. Thursday.

Police told NEWS9 Patrick Joseph Hall burglarized a home, led them on a chase, and assaulted one of their own officers.

Police said they got a tip that Hall was staying in Bellaire.

When Bellaire, Shadyside and Bridgeport police got to the scene, Hall was in the second-floor apartment, and he was trying to conceal his identity by wearing a curly wig, the officers said.

Hall is being held in the Belmont County Jail, awaiting extradition.

State police said Hall burglarized a home in Moundsville last month.

Police said that when they tried to arrest him two weeks ago, Hall jumped out of a window, assaulted a trooper and ran into the woods near Glen Easton.

Last Tuesday, police again tracked Hall to the Dorsey Street Apartments in Moundsville but said he escaped into the woods.

Hall faces a number of charges, including fugitive from justice, burglary, battery on an officer, and fleeing.
