Bark in the Park Raises Money For Abused Animals

The Jefferson County Humane Society raised money for abused animals Saturday with their third annual Bark in the Park fundraiser.

Hundreds of people gathered with their dogs at Bellview Park in Steubenville to participate.

One of the event’s main attractions was a blessing for all of the dogs at the park.

Father Tim McGuire said, “Dogs are a blessing to us. They are wonderful gifts of creation and for us to abuse that creation is not right.”

All of the proceeding from the Bark in the Park went directly to help abused animals within the Ohio Valley.
