Bellaire St. John Girls Defend Regional Track And Field Championship

The Bellaire St. John girls track and field squad is sending athletes to the state meet in 13 events, after defending its Division 3 Regional Championship Friday night in Pickerington. The Irish 4 by 2 relay squad set a new state record of 1:42.77. Barnesville's Stephanie Morgan won a pair of events, winning the 1600 and then the 800 in a new state record time of 2:12.11. Steubenville Central's Teddi Maslowski won the 300 hurdles in a regional record time of 44.58, while teammate Bernadette DuBois also claimed an individual title in the 400 meter dash.
