Benwood, WV —

The owners of the Bellaire Bridge have a problem with the city of Benwood's latest proposal.
But after being confronted by their lawyer on Tuesday night it is clear that city leaders aren't going to budge.
Jeremy Domozick says he confronted council about the escrow agreement that would require Delta Demolition to put $500,000 into a bank account under the city's name.
Domozick says his clients, KDC Investments and Delta Demolition, also want their names to appear on that account but it's clear that won't happen.
After he spoke to council they immediately made a unanimous vote to stick to their proposal and before the vote Benwood Police Chief Frank Longwell said that he felt the owners were insulting the city.
When the meeting was over, Mayor Ed Kuca reiterated that the offer would be the city's last, which left the Domozick and the owners scrambling.
"I'm not sure where we're going to go from here. I'm going to have to go back and consult with my client and see what are options are," Domozick said.
City leaders say the offer for an escrow account in their name remains on the table and Delta can accept that at anytime.
