BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio —
According to Marshall County Chief Deputy Kevin Cecil, 81-year-old Bill Ruckman's body was found in a remote area of Captina Creek in Belmont County. His body was found outside of his minivan along Little Captina Road, a rough logging road near the creek. The van was found with the help of a small airplane searching from above.
Dispachers said crews had the scene cleared around 1:15 a.m. Thursday.
Ruckman went missing Sunday after a trip to visit family in a remote area of Belmont County.
Ruckman's family realized something was wrong when he did not show up to a regular breakfast get-together.
Details on Ruckman's cause of death have yet to be released. Stay with NEWS9 for the latest.
