Bond set at $30,000 for father accused of putting child in clothes dryer

By NEWS9

GUERNSEY COUNTY, Ohio --

A father accused of stuffing his 3-year-old child in a clothes dryer and turning it on was arraigned Thursday afternoon.

Jamial Bayly, 40, is charged with felony domestic violence.

A Guernsey County judge set Bayly's bond at $30,000 without 10 percent.

Bayly was initially charged with child endangerment and was released on bond Sunday. Officials then increased the charges against Bayly to the felony count.

The Guernsey County sheriff said Bayly was convicted in 1999 of domestic violence against a child.

Bayly is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on Monday. Stay with NEWS9, WTOV9.com and WTOV9 Mobile for continuing coverage.
