Bond set for man accused of triggering lockdown at 3 Brooke Co. schools

BROOKE COUNTY, W.Va. —


The man police believe is responsible for triggering a lockdown of three Brooke County schools on Friday appeared in court this weekend.

Justin Nixon is facing four charges related to the incident, including charges for terroristic threats and brandishing a gun.

Nixon was not found with a gun in his possession, but an assault rifle was found nearby.

His bond was set at $55,000, and his preliminary hearing will be in Brooke County Magistrate Court on March 5.
