CARROLL COUNTY, Ohio —
A family said their final goodbyes Saturday to a 7-year-old boy after he was killed in a tragic farming accident.
Local Amish communities gathered for the funeral of Chris Kurtz, 7, in Carroll County.
Kurtz died Wednesday after seriously injuring himself with some farm equipment the day before.
A driver for the boy's familysaidthe young boy was always looking to help others.
"You just can't believe it happened. Things do happen, but you wonder why it had to happen to a little 7-year-old boy like him," said Ron Owings, the family's driver. "He was just a really good boy."
The Amishescorted the body from Carrollton down State Route 9. He was laid to rest at Kilgore Cemetery.
