WINTERSVILLE, Ohio —

Emergency crews and troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a three-car crash Saturday in Jefferson County.

Dispatchers said it happened minutes before 2 p.m on Cadiz Road at the intersection of Bantam Ridge Road in front of the OSHP Wintersville Post. Troopers said a pick-up truck attempting to make a left turn near U.S. Route 22 collided with a oncoming car and spun around before crashing into a SUV at a nearby gas station.

Troopers said the pick-up truck driver is seriously injured, and dispatchers said a medical helicopter flew him to a hospital for his injuries. Troopers said another person was also injured in the crash.

Troopers said the pick-up truck driver likely caused the crash.
