Tractor-trailer fire closes part of I-70

OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. —

Crews responded to a tractor-trailer fire on Interstate 70 eastbound in Ohio County around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The fire was between Exits 10 and 11 at mile marker 13 and was extinguished about an hour later.

Initially, both eastbound lanes of the interstate were closed between Exit 5 Elm Grove to the Pennsylvania state line, and drivers were being diverted to Exit 5 Elm Grove. One westbound lane was closed in the area of the fire.

By 2:30, one eastbound lane had been reopened.

It was not immediately known if there were any injuries.
