Steubenville police responded to the scene of a homicide Thursday after a male body was found deceased in an apartment complex in the 2500 block of Sunset Boulevard.
Police said the call came in around 9 a.m. They found the body of Travis Maurice McIntyre, 31, inside apartment 9 at 2518 Sunset Boulevard. Police did not say how long ago he died or how he died.
Neighbors finding out about McIntyre's death expressed their shock about the homicide.
"This is normally a quiet area. Nothing happens here," said Tom Costantini. "But apparently I guessed wrong."
