NOBLE COUNTY, Ohio —
A Navy diver from Caldwell was killed during routine diving operations in Maryland.
Petty Officer 1st Class James Reyher died on Tuesday during operations at the Aberdeen Proving Ground's underwater test facility.
Navy Diver 2nd Class Ryan Harris, of Missouri, also died during the operation.
The two were assigned to mobile diving and Salvage Unit 2 at a base in Virginia Beach, Va.
The incident remained under investigation as of Thursday afternoon.
